You can now merge two products in your Shed account, including all historic records.
This tool is a huge time saver in the following situations:
- Migrating from brand name products to generic products.
- Resolving duplicate products in your account.
Generic Products
Are you finding that your product list getting out of control and that you would prefer the simplicity of tracking your products by active ingredient? Shed has always supported this out of the box but if you have a lot of historic data it has been difficult to make the switch.
The product merge tool makes this easy. Simply choose the products that you want to merge and you quickly convert multiple generic and branded products into a simpler list of generics while retaining all of your historic data.
Resolving Duplicates
Shed's product management feature gives you flexibility and allows you to configure inventory in a way that suits your operation. At times, this can result in duplicate products being created, with records spread across both. The product merge tool can helps you to clean things up in a few clicks, whilst retaining a complete historic record of the product.
How to get started
To give the product merge tool a go, navigate to the Products page in Shed, click on the actions dropdown menu at the top right of the page and select the “Merge Products” option.
From here, you can follow the simple stepped process to select each product and confirm the product details after completing the merge.
